Reorganization at Penguin

Penguin Publishing Group is being significantly reorganized, with changes implemented by president Madeline McIntosh, who took over that newly formed division of Penguin Random House four months ago. These changes impact all the adult divisions.

Major changes include Brian Tart, president and publisher at Dutton, Gotham, and Avery, taking over at Viking as president and publisher. He replaces Clare Ferraro, president of Viking, Plume, and Hudson Street, who will leave the company at the end of the month.

With the Gotham and Hudson Street imprints slated to close after summer 2015, Gotham’s executive editor Charlie Conrad will move to Berkley, reporting to Susan Allison.
