Albee Agency Controversy

Book publicity company The Albee Agency has been accused of fabricating testimonials from authors who neither worked with the agency nor provided the quotes ascribed to them that appeared on the agency’s website. Writers said to have been erroneously “quoted” include Myke Cole,  Maureen Johnson, Chuck Wendig.

The controversy is documented through screen shots on John Scalzi’s blog, and Writer Beware lists the testimonials along with several other “red flags,” cautioning writers to consider carefully before working with the agency. The agency has since removed the testimonials from its site, and has not responded to our request for comment as of the time of this posting.
