Robin Hobb’s City of Dragons tied with Shadows in Flight by Orson Scott Card at the top of the hardcover list this month. The new runner-up was The Mirage by Matt Ruff (Harper) with 50 titles nominated, down from last month’s 52.

Patricia Briggs knocked George R.R. Martin out of first place on the paperback list with her River Marked taking top honors and Martin’s A Clash of Kings a distant second. The new runner-up was Apocalypse to Go by Katharine Kerr (DAW) with 53 titles nominated, down a bit from last month’s 58.

Embassytown by China Miéville took first place on the trade paperback list this month. There was no new runner-up out of 32 titles nominated, down from last month’s 48.

Star Trek: The Rings of Time by Greg Cox was first on the media-related titles this month and there was no new runner-up. There were only ten titles nominated, down from last month’s 15.

Mass Effect: Deception by William C. Dietz took first place in the gaming-related titles, and there was no new runner-up. There were 25 titles nominated, up from the 19 we saw last month.
