Weekly Bestsellers, 16 April
 Christopher Moore’s latest comedic fantasy novel Sacre Bleu (Morrow) debuts strongly, ranking #3 on both the New York Times and Publishers Weekly fiction hardcover lists.
Also noted, though it’s more a literary novel with a fantastic element than a literary fantasy novel, is Anne Tyler’s The Beginner’s Goodbye (Knopf) ranking #8 and #7 on the same two lists. Washington Post‘s lists have gone missing the past few weeks as its Political Bookworm blog, which posted the lists, has been suspended. If WP’s bestseller lists don’t reappear online in another week or two, we’ll replace it on this page with something else — perhaps San Francisco Chronicle‘s, perhaps something else. (Suggestions?)
