All lists rank hardcovers and paperbacks separately, except for the USA Today list, which is a single list combining fiction and nonfiction in all formats. Dates shown are posted dates, except those in parentheses, which are dates compiled. New York Times posts its list one week in advance of print publication.
Note that some sources do not compile paperback bestsellers, and some exclude YA books (like the Harry Potter series) from their hardcover and paperback fiction lists.

The most notable new release on lists this week is Stephen King's new collection, Just After Sunset (Scribner), ranking on two Amazon lists today, as high as #20 on Amazon.com. Look for it on print lists in a week or two.
Other debuts this week include Keri Arthur's Destiny Kills (Dell Spectra), #15 on New York Times' mass market fiction list; Karen Traviss' Gears of War: Aspho Fields (Ballantine Del Rey), a video game tie-in novel, #21 on the same list; and the paperback reprint of Drew Karpyshyn's Star Wars novel Darth Bane: Rule of two, at #28.
The infrequently updated Publishers Weekly children's list this month puts Cornelia Funke's Inkdeath at #1, Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book at #4, with titles by Suzanne Collins and Terry Pratchett also ranking.
Charlaine Harris' rankings slip a bit this week, but all seven of her Sookie Stackhouse novels still rank on the New York Times extended mass market fiction list, and on USA Today's list, this week.
