Philip K. Dick Award Finalists

Nominees for this year's Philip K. Dick Award, given annually for distinguished science fiction published in paperback original form in the United States, have been announced. First prize and any special citations will be announced on Friday, April 6, 2007 at Norwescon 30 at the Doubletree SeaTac Hotel in SeaTac, Washington. The list here is alphabetical by title.

  • Carnival, Elizabeth Bear (Bantam Spectra)
  • Catalyst, Nina Kiriki Hoffman (Tachyon Publications)
  • Idolon, Mark Budz (Bantam Spectra)
  • Living Next Door to the God of Love, Justina Robson (Bantam Spectra)
  • Mindscape, Andrea Hairston (Aqueduct Press)
  • Recursion, Tony Ballantyne (Bantam Spectra)
  • Spin Control, Chris Moriarty (Bantam Spectra)
  • The Philip K. Dick Award is presented annually with the support of the Philip K. Dick Trust for distinguished science fiction published in paperback original form in the United States. The award is sponsored by the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society, and the award ceremony is sponsored by the NorthWest Science Fiction Society. Last year’s winner was War Surf by M.M. Buckner (Ace) with a special citation to Natural History by Justina Robson (Bantam Spectra). Judges for this year's award are Geary Gravel, Anne Harris, Christine Mains (chair), Kristine Smith, Mark Tiedemann.
