SFFH Books on General Bestseller Lists

Two associational (i.e. not written by 'genre' authors) fantasy bestsellers debut this week: Diana Gabaldon's A Breath of Snow and Ashes (Delacorte), latest in the 'Outlander' historical romance series, and Gregory Maguire's Son of a Witch (Regan Books), sequel to the Broadway-musical-spawning Wicked (1995) about Oz's western witch. The books debut in the #1 and #2 spots respectively on three different lists, from New York Times, Washington Post, and Publishers Weekly, and place in the top 10 on print lists from San Francisco Chronicle and USA Today as well.
Neil Gaiman's Anansi Boys moves up to #1 in San Franciso but slips on other lists, though still solidly in the top 10 at NYC, SFC, and PW.
Other debuts this week: the latest Troy Denning Star Wars novel, on 3 lists; Tamora Pierce's The Will of the Empress, at #4 on NYT's children's chapter book list; and the paperback reprint of Laurell K. Hamilton's Incubus Dreams, on the USA Today list.
