Locus Magazine for April 2003 is a special Horror issue, guest-edited by Locus columnist and horror author Edward Bryant, with cover art by J.K. Potter.

The issue features an interview with writer Ramsey Campbell; overviews of the field by Ellen Datlow, Paula Guran, and Douglas E. Winter; an essay from Locus columnist Gary K. Wolfe; and commentary from Peter Straub, John Shirley, Steve Rasnic Tem, David J. Schow, Brian Hopkins, Stewart O’Nan, David Skal, Kelly Link, Stephen Jones, Kathleen Alcalá; Internet bookseller Matt Schwartz (Shocklines), and bookseller Alan Beatts (Borderlands).

This is the first of several planned special issues of Locus Magazine, with the next, focusing on Graphic Novels, tentatively scheduled for July 2003.
