The latest by Anne McCaffrey dominated the hardcovers, but Terry Pratchett continued to have a good showing, and Gibson’s novel is back. There was no new runner-up. We had 85 nominees, to last month's 89.
For paperbacks, the Stirling title did very well, and his collaboration with David Drake also made the top 10. New runner-up: The Rift by Walter J. Williams (HarperPrism). Nominees: 98, just down from 101.
In trade paperbacks, John Marco went straight to the top in his first month. The new runner-up is Dragonworld by Preiss & Reaves (Pocket/ibooks). We had 65 nominees, the same as last month.
For media, the latest "Star Trek" book had a big lead. There was no new runner-up. Nominees: 34, up from 28.
In gaming-related, the new "DragonLance" still led the pack, and again few titles had significant sales, so only four made the cut. Nominees: 23, to last month's 27.
