Pournelle & Jim Baen (Baen 0-671-65572-8, May ’86 [Apr ’86], $2.95, 284pp, pb) “The paperback magazine of science fiction and science fact” is more of an anthology and Baen catalog than a magazine. Baen is the actual editor, with Pournelle in an advisory role. This issue has excerpts from several upcoming Baen books, articles, and a few stories. The most interesting piece is an article by Gregory Benford which, among other things, covers the 1984 meeting between Clarke and Heinlein. (CNB)
