All lists rank hardcovers and paperbacks separately, except for the USA Today list, which is a single list combining fiction and nonfiction in all formats. Dates shown are posted dates, except those in parentheses, which are dates compiled. New York Times posts its list one week in advance of print publication.
Note that some sources do not compile paperback bestsellers, and some exclude YA books (like the Harry Potter series) from their hardcover and paperback fiction lists.

There are two paperback debuts this week. The mass market reprint edition of Patricia Brigg's Bone Crossed (Ace), debuts at #9 on the New York Times mass market list, #10 on the same list at Publishers Weekly, and #69 on the combined USA Today list.
A paperback original, Star Wars novel Crosscurrent (LucasBooks), ranking #10 on the NYT mass market list, #8 on the PW list, and #149 on the USAT list.
Washington Post is posting hardcover and paperback lists in alternating weeks, so weekly updates of their entire lists are not possible. Meanwhile, San Francisco Chronicle, which had apparently discontinued compiling bestseller lists several weeks ago, seems to have reinstated them. In any event, neither paper's posted lists had any genre titles on them this week.
