All lists rank hardcovers and paperbacks separately, except for the USA Today list, which is a single list combining fiction and nonfiction in all formats. Dates shown are posted dates, except those in parentheses, which are dates compiled. New York Times posts its list one week in advance of print publication.
Note that some sources do not compile paperback bestsellers, and some exclude YA books (like the Harry Potter series) from their hardcover and paperback fiction lists.

Kim Harrison's YA novel Once Dead, Twice Shy (HarperCollins) debuts on the children's list at New York Times at #5 this week.
Other debuts include China Miéville's The City & The City (Del Rey), ranking #9 on the San Francisco Chronicle list, and Dean Koontz' thriller about a vicious book reviewer Relentless (Bantam), ranking #31 today on Amazon.com -- look for that one on print lists in the next week or two.
In paperback, the reprint of Laurell K. Hamilton's Blood Noir (Jove) debuts at #19 on the mass market list of NY Times, and ranks #82 on the combined USA Today list.
