Come to the Locus Awards Banquet and the Science Fiction Hall of Fame Awards on Saturday, June 27, 2009, in Seattle WA during the Science Fiction Awards Weekend. Events include several panels on SF with leading authors, an autograph session, and the Locus Awards lunch banquet, all held at the Courtyard Marriott Lake Union. M.C. Connie Willis will present the awards and judge the traditional Hawai'ian Shirt Contest. The Hall of Fame Awards will now follow the Locus Awards at the Marriott, with M.C. Christopher Moore. Books will also be available for purchase, thanks to University Book Store.

Tickets for all events are $35 and include a free day-pass to the museum.

Tentative Schedule:

Friday, June 26:

The weekend will kick off on Friday night with the Clarion West Party, with John Kessel and other Special Guests. Clarion West has generously invited all ticket holders to join the party, to be held June 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lake Union Courtyard Marriott.

Saturday, June 27:

10:30 AM: Hall of Fame Honorees Panel with Connie Willis interviewed by Nancy Kress, Michael Whelan interviewed by Todd Lockwood, Gordon Van Gelder (for Edward Ferman) interviewed by John Kessel, and Bill Engle and Joan Engle (members of Frank R. Paul's family) with Frank Wu, with Charles N. Brown as moderator.

11:30 AM: Panel on Short Fiction with Gordon Van Gelder, Gardner Dozois, Ellen Datlow, and John Kessel, with Gary K. Wolfe as moderator.

12:15-12:45 PM: Autographing session

1:00-3:00 PM: Locus Awards Banquet and Ceremony

3:00-3:30 PM: Break

3:30-5:00 PM: The Science Fiction Hall of Fame Awards

6:15 PM: Unveiling of the Science Fiction Hall of Fame Display at the SF Museum. Guests are invited to take photos of the inductees and their families.
