JQ-Wingate Prize Shortlist

The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin (Putnam) and Eternal Life by Dara Horn (Norton) are on the six-title shortlist for the 2019 JQ-Wingate Literary Prize. The award gives £4,000 “to the best book, fiction or non-fiction, to translate the idea of Jewishness to the general reader.” Judges for 2019 are Arifa Akbar, Shoshana Boyd Gelfand (chair), Thomas Harding, and Francesca Simon. The winner will be announced February 25, 2019 at the JW3 Jewish community center in London, UK.
