The Stella Prize has announced their 2018 shortlist of “powerful books by Australian women.” All four titles of genre interest from the longlist have made it onto the six-title shortlist:
Named for Stella Maria Sarah “Miles” Franklin, the first Stella Prize was awarded in 2013. Among other goals, they seek to “recognise and celebrate Australian women writers’ contribution to literature.” The winning author will receive AUD$50,000. The winner will be announced April 12, 2018.
