Phetteplace Wins Jaffe Award

Dominica Phetteplace is one of six winners of the 2017 Rona Jaffe Award for “women writers of exceptional talent.” Recipients each receive $30,000 and a trip to New York. Phetteplace said, “The award is intended to support my novel-in-progress, Project Empathy, portions of which were published in Asimov’s last year.” Established in 1995 by Rona Jaffe, the award is “dedicated to supporting women writers exclusively” who are “in the early stages of their writing careers.”
