2016 Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize Longlist

The Guardian recently announced the longlist for the Children’s Fiction Prize on its website. The list includes two titles of genre interest:

The 50-year-old award comes with a £1,500 cash prize, and is “the only children’s book prize judged by authors.” It is accompanied by the young critics competition, where “ten children and teens and one school won prizes for 500-word reviews of the books longlisted for the prize.” The judges for this year’s prize are David Almond, SF Said, and Kate Saunders. The winner will be announced November 17, 2016.
