Tomorrow Winner and Roswell Shortlist

“Rock Star” by Matilda Berke (Polytechnic School) has won the 2016 Tomorrow Prize for Short Fiction, Sci-Fest L.A.’s award for best SF story written by a Los Angeles high school student. Berke received a $1,000 scholarship at a ceremony held  May 14, 2016.

Sci-Fest L.A.’s Roswell Award short story writing contest finalists have also been announced:

  • “In the hammock of his ribs”, Tom Aschmann
  • “First Encounter”, Larry Herbst
  • “Tribbulations”, Liam Hogan
  • “Constant Change”, Diana M.
  • “Savepoint”, Tom O’Brien
  • “Humans ‘N’ Hot Dogs” by Melissa Yuan-Innes

The winner will receive a $1,000 prize, and nominees will be honored at Sci-Fest L.A.’s Roswell Award Reading & Awards ceremony on May 22, 2016 at the ACME Theater in Hollywood.
