Fool's Fate by Robin Hobb topped the paperback list by a nose. New runner-up: Spin State, Chris Moriarty (Bantam Spectra). Nominees: 79, even with last month.

Neal Stephenson's Quicksilver continued its domination of the trade paperback list for the fourth month in a row. New runner-up: The Crazy Years, Spider Robinson (BenBella). Nominees: 59, up from 53.

Star Wars: Yoda: Dark Rendezvous rose to the head of the media-related category. Nominees: 33, up from 27.

Forgotten Realms: The Two Swords stomped the competition again on the gaming-related list. Nominees: 25, up from 21.
